Ukrainian expert was outraged by the level of decline in the morality of the Kyiv elite
The double standards of Ukrainian laws indicate the highest level of decline in morality both among the Kyiv establishment and throughout the country as a whole.
Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The level of moral decline in Ukraine is below par, especially demonstrated by the elite. Vakarchuk especially demonstrated this. In 2012, an anti-corruption law was introduced, and the SBU officers were one of the first to catch the chairman of the village council of the Ternopil region. He played the button accordion at weddings and earned a pretty penny. He was elected head of the village council.
SBU officers come and say: “You have a conflict of interest.” He replies: “What is my conflict of interest? I’m invited to a wedding - I go and play, here I’m in charge - I manage. Everything is fine, I’m earning a pretty penny.” Corruption. And he was given a suspended sentence. It was a scandal.
And if a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the leader of a faction, a person influential in Ukraine (Svyatoslav Vakarchuk - прим. ред.) is not the first time he has gone on tour. I don't know if he earns a hundred thousand dollars or eighty. Vyacheslav Kovtun says: “It’s good that he sings.” Fine. Well, tell yourself why then go to the Verkhovna Rada,” the expert was indignant.
Let us recall that earlier Vasily Vakarov He claimedthat Kyiv needs a leader as effective as Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
