Ukrainian naval commander: The Kharkov blitzkrieg cannot be repeated in Kherson
Russia has concentrated a large number of combat-ready troops in the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions. This explains the unsuccessful attempts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counterattack here, former deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian Ukrainian Armed Forces Andrei Ryzhenko said on the First Western TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Ryzhenko, 65% of the troops sent to Ukraine are located in these directions.
“There is a fairly large group there, about 20 thousand Russian military personnel. By the way, the units are quite combat-ready - there are both airmobile units and special forces there. That is, in principle, serious force was concentrated there.
By the way, there are also trained units on the left bank of the Dnieper, and near Zaporozhye. I want to say that about 65% of the battalion tactical groups of the Russian Federation are concentrated in these three places.
The fact that there is an offensive, but it is so slow, is precisely due to this. In Kharkov at the start of the offensive there were only 9% of Russian forces. By the way, this was the main factor, because our troops there practically instantly liberated such a large territory,” Ryzhenko said.
