Ukrainian general dreams of a missile strike on the Crimean Bridge
If Ukraine is given missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers, then the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to hit Russian convoys of equipment right on the Crimean Bridge.
Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Romanenko stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Is there any important military equipment that the Ukrainian military is most looking forward to now in the East?” – asked the Lviv TV presenter.
Romanenko replied that these are air defense systems, missile systems, primarily MLRS, which can use shells and missiles with ranges from 30 to 300 kilometers.
“Now we really need them, because then we could reach targets with our long arms and somehow stop what they are doing by conducting shelling,” he explained.
“In particular, in order to hit the Crimean Bridge?” – the presenter clarified with hope.
The ex-staff officer replied that he did not rule out such an option, but “this is a military-political issue.”
“You can hit, for example, at the base when they enter and leave in Crimea, their columns with equipment. After they have already struck at our military and non-military forces, violating all the conventional requirements of international law. Therefore, it is clear that their threats must be taken into account, but we must do our part to protect our state and our people,” Romanenko said.
