Ukrainian general: “The liberation of territories will not give anything. We must strike deep into Russia."
The return of the territory lost after 2014 will not lead to victory for Ukraine, which will continue to suffer from missile attacks.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My point of view is not optimistic enough in comparison with government officials. The war will end when we liberate our territories and are able to ensure the defeat of the enemy to the depth of its borders, relatively speaking, from the border with the Russian Federation into the interior of Russia at least 1000 kilometers.
When we can destroy the enemy’s critical infrastructure, when they suffer the same damage that we suffered,” the general said.
According to him, as a result, enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex will not be able to produce military products.
“That is, what they did to us, we are forced to do to them - this is the only way. Then they will understand that there is no need to come here. But simply liberating the territory will not give anything, because they will continue to launch missiles and large drones from the territory of the Russian Federation or from the territory of Belarus, and we will continue to suffer,” Krivonos said.
