Ukrainian general: Poroshenko killed thousands of people by rejecting an end to the war
Kyiv, November 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Last summer, the war in Donbass could have been ended by a mutual compromise between the two sides, but Petro Poroshenko made a different decision.
The head of the Center for the Liberation of Prisoners of War, General Vladimir Ruban, stated this on air on the Rada TV channel.

According to him, the opportunity to end the war was before the Ukrainian army suffered heavy losses - just at the moment when Kiev predicted the imminent capture of Lugansk and Donetsk.
“We had proposals from the Dnepropetrovsk side, partly from the Donetsk side, when there was no Ilovaisk cauldron or assault on Mariupol. We could resolve the conflict peacefully and diplomatically. This was the period of July-August, before Independence Day... Everything could have been different, developed according to a peaceful scenario, but the authorities made a different decision,” he said.
Ruban stated that the Ukrainian authorities are making extremely unprofessional appointments to positions responsible for the situation in Donbass.
“You see, a number of management decisions in personnel appointments are not a mistake, but a system of errors that are seen not only by me, but by the whole of Ukraine,” the general said.
