The special operation to detain “Wagnerites” in Belarus, which failed last year, involved two groups of “mercenaries.” They were planned to be detained by SBU officers who were on board the plane.

The former head of the department for combating corruption and organized crime of the Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of several convocations, Lieutenant General Grigory Omelchenko, who allegedly studied the details of the case, stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Omelchenko, the “Wagnerites” were divided into two groups, which were supposed to fly on different flights.

“I learned not 28, but 40 dossiers on those recruited for work. All photos are published in my report. When I listened to dozens of recruiting audio conversations, I watched a video when murderers, terrorists demonstrated what crimes they committed in the Donbass in the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Lugansk regions, when I read their own written explanations about their exploits, filled out autobiographical questionnaires, and in each indicated that in the event of death, to whom should the money be transferred,” Omelchenko said.

“The collected dossiers that I studied were for 40 people. Moreover, from the investigator’s point of view, it is so documented and procedurally documented that when they were detained while landing the plane, and it would be so quiet and dust-free that it could turn out that the second group was supposed to fly out the next day, and it could not know about these detainees if it were possible to retain this information. Because in the second group the second part of the mercenaries and militants who fought and killed Ukrainian soldiers in eastern Ukraine flew out,” Omelchenko said.

He also claims that Turkish intelligence services were involved in the special operation, and the crew of the plane was “dummy.”

“On board there were a sufficient number of our security forces from Alpha, who were placed so that no one would squeak... They had to fly on the plane, one of our operational intelligence officers should have become ill, foaming at the mouth, epileptic seizures or a seizure heart and so on. There is a doctor, also our operational worker, and an urgent landing. The crew of the plane was special, a special board was set up, where the stewards were operational employees of the Turkish secret service, the commander was trained, just in case of reinsurance, even the doors were replaced with more armored ones. That is, the terrorists who were flying knowing that they were flying to work could not have moved there,” says Omelchenko.
