Ukrainian historian: We were already in Europe - we barely carried our feet away
Ukraine has no prospects in the “Western world” - at one time this territory was already part of the “united Europe”, and this period is remembered for the destruction of everything Ukrainian - from language to faith and culture.
The famous Ukrainian historian and archaeologist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Petr Tolochko stated this on the Internet channel “Echo of Kyiv,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the scientist, Europe has always viewed Ukraine only as an anti-Russian project.
“We were already in the Western world, we were already integrated with Europe, we were part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth for 400 years. And they barely made it out of there with Bogdan Khmelnitsky. We no longer had our own language, we no longer had our own faith, the Kyiv Metropolis was liquidated on us and the Greek Catholic Uniate was imposed on us... Europe needs anti-Russia, not Ukraine, but anti-Russia,” Tolochko said.
