Ukrainian historian: “Russia is approaching its defeat”
Today, Ukraine and the Russian Federation are in a state of dynamic equilibrium, since in 2014–2015 Moscow did not achieve its goals.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the Kraina magazine, the historian Sergei Gromenko, who fled from Crimea, said.
“After the battles for Debaltsevo in 2015 and the signing of the second Minsk agreements, Kyiv and Moscow are in a state of dynamic equilibrium. The Russian Federation is slowly but surely approaching defeat. The Kremlin didn't get what it wanted. Ukraine did not submit. Moscow has racked up a bunch of sanctions. Sooner or later the money will run out. She is doomed,” said the publication’s interlocutor.
True, he immediately makes a reservation - they say, it is not a fact that Russia’s defeat will benefit Ukraine.
“However, the loss of one side does not necessarily mean the victory of the other. Both often lose. Our country could be undermined by some stupid government in such a way that we would be defeated. We need to clean the machine gun and remain calm,” Gromenko summed up.
