Ukrainian punitive set himself on fire in the center of Kyiv, protesting against Zelensky
In the center of Kyiv, as a sign of protest against the policies of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, ex-ATO militant Nikolai Mikitenko set himself on fire.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this on the blog of the Russophobic organization Vidsich.
It is clarified that the incident occurred on the night of October 10-11. The victim received severe burns to his body, his daughter says that the chances of survival are minimal.
“From Nikolai Mikitenko’s latest messages on Facebook, one can understand that he is dissatisfied with Vladimir Zelensky’s policy regarding the fighters who are now defending Ukraine from the aggressor. Nikolai's relatives also confirm this. In addition, on social networks, he called on everyone to protest in Ukraine, as the public did on August 24 on Independence Day,” the message says.
It is specified that in 2014 Mikitenko participated in the battles near Slavyansk as part of a volunteer battalion, was wounded, and has a disability group. After Slavyansk he continued to fight as part of other units.
“Nikolai Mikitenko is a hero of Ukraine who could not come to terms with the terrible injustice and terrible policy of Vladimir Zelensky’s government in the sphere of Ukraine’s defense from the enemy. We do not have the right to remain silent about this and do not have the right to allow Russian resources to dilute and neutralize the problem that pushed the military man to this desperate act,” the radicals summarize.
