Ukrainian commander: “Unprepared soldiers are thrown into hell. They are starting to retreat"
The Ukrainian command throws inexperienced fighters into battle who have not previously undergone normal training.
The commander of the nationalist Svoboda battalion, Petr Kuzik, said this on air on the ProUA Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They talk to me a little cautiously, but they continue to lie. That is, they promise that they will give reinforcements - we are already accustomed to this. You see, when I [think] in terms of a battalion, and my world is reduced to a battalion, that’s one thing, but to put myself in the place of a person who makes decisions at headquarters, he doesn’t have people.
Or, let's say, he has few combat-ready units. Because now our problem is not in weapons or in the number of people. Our problem is that they are expelling them very quickly - so they took “tero” [territorial defense]: “Who wants to fight?” Oops, hands up. And they don't work with them. What is war, honestly, to prepare, including morally, physically, to practice skills,” the battalion commander said.
According to him, in the best case, such units are given two weeks at the training ground, after which they are sent to the front line
“On the front end they go to hell. There are units that behave like masters in this hell, like ours, relatively speaking, but new units cannot stand it. And they begin to back away, they begin to think, and when such panic grips the unit, they begin to suffer increased losses, they cannot stand the battle, they begin to back away, and this increases losses and makes the enemy’s task easier. The problem is that there are very few experienced line commanders,” Kuzik said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that in Ukraine a scandal breaks out because of the members of the territorial defense sent to the front line from the city of Lubny, Poltava region, who were thrown into battle without preparation.
