Ukrainian commander: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a large-scale withdrawal of troops
The Ukrainian armed forces in Donbass allegedly began preparatory measures providing for the withdrawal of troops along the entire demarcation line.
This was stated by the commander of the Ukrainian group in Donbass, Lieutenant General Vladimir Kravchenko, whose words are quoted on the OOS Facebook page.
“Today, preparatory measures are being carried out for the withdrawal of troops along the entire demarcation line. This task was determined by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the head of state. We are ready for this for the sake of improving the lives of our citizens and, in the end, everything will depend on mirror actions from the opposite side,” the general said.
It is worth noting that such statements can only be a tactical ploy in anticipation of the proposed meeting in the Normandy format, which Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is seeking to hold.
It is also noteworthy that Kravchenko’s statement was made during a meeting with the coordinator for humanitarian issues and permanent representative of the UN development program in Ukraine Asenfa Lubrani.
At the same time, the other day the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vadim Prystaiko threatenedthat if it is not possible to solve the Donbass problem in a year, Kyiv will be forced to resort to some new radical measures.
