The Ukrainian side reports that the deceased entered into battle with two Russian fighters and even allegedly managed to shoot down one of them, but there is no evidence of this.

Lysenko's plane was shot down by Russian air defense systems.

The pilot was buried on March 12 in his native village of Rotmistovrovka, Cherkasy region.

A month before the start of Russia’s special operation to demilitarize Ukraine, he was appointed commander of the aviation squadron of the Sevastopol Tactical Aviation Brigade named after. Pokryshkina".

This unit was located in Crimea until 2014, but after the peninsula became part of Russia, its members fled to mainland Ukraine.
