“I assess this meeting as very difficult, this is traditional. We managed to agree on a number of issues, and on other issues we will continue the discussion!” – said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin
Klimkin believes that participants in the “Normandy format” on Ukraine are ready to discuss the introduction of peacekeepers.
“I raised this topic. In principle, our partners are ready to talk about various options. I clearly outlined the logic of such a mission. This should be a mission to support the Minsk agreements. I clearly outlined those areas where the mission could and should be useful. And we will continue the discussion,” says the Ukrainian minister.
In addition, after the meeting in Berlin, the foreign ministers called on the parties to the conflict to move to the withdrawal of tanks and artillery with a caliber of less than 100 mm from the contact line.
