Ukrainian billionaire promised the best lawyers in the case of Melnikov against Bandera
Arrested today in Kyiv policeman Vasily Melnikov, who took part in the arrest of the Nazis who stormed the police department, became a victim of repression by the authorities and should receive legal assistance.
Verkhovna Rada deputy, billionaire Vadim Novinsky wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Today we are witnessing political pressure on those who, fulfilling their professional duty, did not give Petro Poroshenko’s technologists the opportunity to commit an outright provocation. The police refused to play dirty political games and did not indulge the passions of aggressive “activists” from among the nationalist groups sponsored by the authorities. Hooligan acts must be suppressed, banditry must be eradicated, political terrorism must be stopped,” writes Novinsky.
He notes that those who gives the command “Fast!” to the nationalists, cases have been opened against the police officers.
“The authorities do not notice how they themselves promote the permissiveness of extreme radicals and demotivate law enforcement officers. In this situation, I decided to offer help to those against whom the authorities brought down their repression. I am ready to provide police officers under investigation with the best lawyers. I believe that in the current situation, our silence and inaction will contribute to the spread of fascism and extremism in the country,” the politician sums up.
