Ukrainian minister hired private security - does not trust state security
The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Dmitry Dubilet refused state security, instead using the services of private security guards, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The minister himself spoke about this on air on the ICTV channel.
“When I applied for state protection, it turned out that they didn’t just give you one or two people, they planned to assign some kind of platoon to me. I felt somehow embarrassed that the state would spend such resources on me. Therefore, I decided to hire two people at my own expense. Now I have two private security guards with me,” he said.
At the same time, the minister hopes that the protection will be a temporary measure.
Back on November 8, Cabinet Minister Dmitry Dubilet announced that he had applied to the State Security Administration with a request to provide him with security. He explained this by the fact that “two tension zones have appeared” around him: a project to combat shadow alcohol and holding competitions for top government positions.
