Ukrainian minister complained about Russian exercises in the Black Sea
Russian exercises in the Black and Azov Seas are impeding Ukrainian commercial shipping, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Defense Minister Andrei Zagorodnyuk during participation in the 3rd International Conference on Maritime Security, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
“Russia is blocking large sections of the water area (the Black and Azov Seas - ed.), starting exercises that are not actually being carried out in order to block an entire sector and impede commercial shipping,” the minister noted.
Zagorodnyuk noted that the Russian military presence in the Black Sea is increasing.
“It is critically important for us that the situation is considered in the context of the security of the entire region, the entire European and Eurasian space, because now, as we know, the militarization of the Black Sea is taking place, the military presence of the Russian Federation is increasing,” Zagorodnyuk explained.
The Minister of Defense also believes that the Russian Federation continues to “conduct aggressive actions against Ukraine, taking the lives of Ukrainian defenders who defend Ukraine in the East.”
“This war, unfortunately, does not subside, despite the fact that it has somewhat moved into a less active phase than in previous years, but nevertheless continues. Every few days we receive information about the dead Ukrainian Heroes,” noted Andrey Zagorodnyuk.
Earlier, Zagorodnyuk said that financial and economic relations with Russia are impossible.
