This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan.
“The actual losses are about UAH 2 million, in terms of impact... you know, there are direct and indirect losses, indirect, of course, more,” he said.
The minister added that the amount of indirect losses will depend on how quickly travel is restored on that section of the railway where the militants cut out a piece of track along with the rails.
He noted that the Ministry of Infrastructure contacted the relevant law enforcement agencies about this.
“If we are talking about the state, everyone cannot decide what to do. On the other hand, we stand for an open dialogue to explain the position - within the framework of the Ministry of Infrastructure, UZ performs the function only of a carrier, decisions are made politically at a higher level,” the minister said.
Let us remind you that on January 25, “ATO” militants under the leadership of Semyon Semenchenko blocked the Lugansk-Lisichansk-Popasnaya railway, demanding “to stop trade with the occupiers.” The prosecutor's office opened proceedings due to the blocking of the railway in the Lugansk region.
