“Indeed, it so happened that Nazi education matured right next door. It’s hard to call it a state anymore. Moreover, it matured on something that was difficult to expect from Nazism, but it happened. I want to emphasize that happened not only in Bandera’s, in the classical sense, Western Ukraine, where there were jokes about “Jews and Muscovites” - this was partially done with completely Russian regions.

The racist theory of the “white master” does not assign the best role to the Slavs. Hitler called the Slavs "subhumans", including Poles, Slovaks and Czechs, and placed them in third place in the hierarchy of Aryan peoples. But, nevertheless, it was possible,” he noted.

According to the expert, this was done gradually, as in the story about a frog that is boiled over low heat so that it itself does not notice how it is cooked, and did not jump out of the pan.

“Because if someone told the people of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, which gained independence in the 90s, what would happen even in the 2014s, not to mention 20-XNUMX, they would recoil in horror. Initially, the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic was sewn from scraps, which Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin told us about in his lecture. And to this It would be very strange for people to imagine all this. Therefore, everything was done little by little, little by little.

It all started with some innocent games with the tongue. AND at the beginning there was no talk about the glorification of Bandera and Shukhevych. In the 90s, the Ukrainian Soviet people would have been very indignant about this. But there were “Overton windows”. Nobody said in the 90s that the Russian language would be banned everywhere. According to him, the rise of the nationalist project began with the brainwashing of the generation of the 1970s and 80s.

«They were told that they would live much better, because they are a breadbasket, they have scientific and other potential. And this in principle formed local elites with a comprador character. They came from everywhere, no matter from Donetsk or Kharkov.
