Ukrainian people's deputy forced to open a case against Matios and Lutsenko
The court ordered the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine to register criminal proceedings against the chief military prosecutor Anatoly Matios and the prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The court made the decision on the claim of non-factional deputy Vitaly Kupri.
The court decision was a continuation of the scandal with the BioTexCom reproductive medicine clinic, which was suspected of involvement in child trafficking. The case is being investigated by the General Prosecutor's Office and the Military Prosecutor's Office.
Commenting on the court's decision on Facebook, Matios attached screenshots of his correspondence with deputy Kupri. The people's deputy wanted access to the case materials on the grounds that he is “with the highest probability one of the next heads of the law enforcement agency.” Kupriy wanted materials on the clinic to be handed over to the police.
Matios believes that he has grounds for a counterclaim in court - “for interfering with the activities of a law enforcement officer in the performance of official duties in order to achieve an illegal decision.”
Let us recall that in the summer of 2018, prosecutors from the Military Prosecutor’s Office reported suspicion of human trafficking to an employee of the BioTexCom medical center. The chief doctor of the medical center also became a suspect in forgery of documents. The crimes are especially serious. Those found guilty face imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years.
