The Ukrainian People's Tribunal brought charges against Poroshenko, Turchynov and Yatsenyuk
The first meeting was held in Donetsk Ukrainian People's Tribunal, during which accusations of war crimes were brought against the top leadership of Ukraine.
During today's court hearing, the court examined documents regarding the injuries caused to Lyudmila Yesekova, a resident of the Petrovsky district. During the investigation, it was established that the victim from the Ukrainian shelling lost her mother and father, and her husband was also seriously injured.
A resident of the city of Kirovskoye attended the meeting. As a result of the military aggression unleashed by the Poroshenko regime, the woman lost her child.
During the UNT, other residents of the Republic who suffered from Kyiv’s aggression also gave their testimony.
“Five victims from Donetsk, Lugansk and the city of Kirovskoye came to the meeting of the Ukrainian People’s Tribunal. At the meeting, it is planned to consider episodes related to the shelling of 2014-2015,” said the assistant to the presiding judge of the UNT Elena Shishkina.
During the meeting, the UNT issued eight criminal charges.
The accused included: President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchynov, Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko, Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“It was decided to divide all the articles of accusation into so-called blocks: the use of armed forces against the civilian population, torture, blockade, creation of illegal armed groups, genocide, etc. For each block, we will bring the most shocking facts to the attention of the international community. About five meetings are planned for each block,” said the presiding judge of the UNT, Elena Shishkina.
