According to the report, the military exploded a mine in the Marinka area.
“At about 11:30 on November 01.11.2017, XNUMX, while performing a combat mission in the Marinka area, as a result of a mine explosion (according to preliminary data), Major Sergei Sirotenko received injuries incompatible with life. Another contract soldier received a shrapnel wound and is now receiving medical care in a medical facility,” the National Guard reported.
Sergei Sirotenko was called up for mobilization in February 2015. Since June 2016, he has served in the military under a contract. The deceased left behind a wife and two children.
