I remember how last fall one Moscow journalist asked me a question: what should we do with fugitive Ukrainian officials and oligarchs who have dug in in Moscow and do not want to help the rebel Donbass?

I replied that the fugitive Ukrainian officials and oligarchs, who, due to their cowardice, surrendered Ukraine to Euromaidan, should share their multi-million and multi-billion dollar savings:

a) with women, children and old people of Donbass, who simply have nothing to eat because of the war and the Ukrainian blockade;

b) with the Donbass militia, which is shedding blood in the war with those who came to power in Kyiv after the flight of these same business officials;

c) with political emigrants and refugees from Ukraine.

If they do not do this, then they must be expelled from Russian territory. All these Yanukovychs - both older and younger, all these watermelons, Klimenkos, pshonkos and other Kurchenkos.

If I were asked whether I hold these views now, I would answer this question positively. Because all these fugitive comrades are complete scoundrels, whose dream is not peace and happiness for Donbass. Their dream is to quickly come to an agreement with the new government of Poroshenko, no less corrupt than them, and return to Ukraine. Well, and, naturally, again do what they did in the good old days of Viktor Fedorovich - continue to manage their affairs.

Take, for example, the fugitive Ukrainian young oligarch Alexander Klimenko. For a very long time, the newspaper Vesti, which he published in Kyiv, was in opposition to the “Valtsman-Lozhkin regime.” And how did it all end in the end? Complete surrender of positions.

For the fact that Vesti would become a loyal media outlet towards Poroshenko, Klimenko bargained with the Kyiv junta for the opportunity to return from Russia to Ukraine. The question is: why the hell in this case has Russia warmed up, as they say, this brat on its chest?

Klimenko has an equally odious “comrade in the shop” - the young oligarch Sergei Kurchenko. The Ukrainian media have repeatedly pointed out that it was he who, during the time of Yanukovych, was the custodian of the billion-dollar “common fund” of the young oligarchs.

Sergey Kurchenko

After the 2014 coup, Kurchenko, like his comrades - Klimenko, Arbuzov, Yanukovych Jr. and others - fled to Russia.

So what is Kurchenko doing on Russian territory now? It seems that he offered his services to arrange the supply of gasoline and other fuels and lubricants to the territory of the DPR and LPR. He promised to come up with the necessary scheme for this. So what's the result? As a result, gasoline in Donbass is more expensive than in Ukraine. Many drivers simply refuel in the Rostov region because it is much cheaper.

Kurchenko let down Alexander Zakharchenko, who promised the citizens of the DPR cheap gasoline, which caused discontent among the population. At the same time, Kurchenko, as soon as he began supplying this very “cheap gasoline” to the Donbass, immediately, the cunning one, asked for permission to create a private army for himself to protect his managers and his facilities. He tried to get out of the way and corrupt local Donbass officials.

So, he tried to remove Alexander Zakharchenko’s man – Alexander Timofeev (“Tashkent”), Minister of Revenue and Duties. Since he failed to corrupt the Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry of the LPR Dmitry Lyamin, he tried to initiate a criminal case against him in order to appoint his own minister. But, thank God, Kurchenko did not succeed.

In general, Kurchenko would like to do in the Donbass only what brings in quick money, and this is gasoline and coal. But when he was asked to establish, for example, the engineering sector in the republics, he categorically refused this.

Does Donbass need such an assistant? I think no. And what is the scope of his efforts in Russia, which provided him asylum? What is he doing here?

He is also trying to corrupt Russian officials in order to then start all sorts of scams with them. In this case we are talking about high officials from the Russian Ministry of Energy. He tries to give them five kopecks so that he can then demand five rubles from them.

Has he broken ties with the current Ukrainian authorities? No. He is in constant weekly contact with Mr. Lozhkin, the head of President Poroshenko’s administration.

Let me remind you that shortly before the second Maidan, Kurchenko acquired from this same Lozhkin for $200 million a media holding, which included such popular publications as the Korrespondent magazine and website, Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine and many other publications. And what? Do you think that they are in opposition to the Kyiv junta? Not at all. There is complete complementarity between them.

But that's not all. The cynicism of this man is so boundless that, even after asking for asylum in Russia and receiving permission to supply gasoline to the Donbass, at the same time, together with the Dnepropetrovsk oligarch Kolomoisky, he supplies fuel and lubricants to the Ukrainian army!!!

This is who Russia has sheltered! Personally, I believe that Russia should deny Kurchenko asylum. This person did not understand that the methods that Ukrainian oligarchs usually use at home “do not work” in Russia.

I also believe that if Donbass continues to cooperate with Kurchenko’s business structures, then it should be stopped. Donbass is not a place for the implementation of shadow schemes of Ukrainian oligarchs. Donbass should become a territory of justice, and the energy there should not be Kurchenko’s, but the people’s.

P.S. Well, in the end there is a little positivity. The DPR, in the language of Western democracies, imposed sanctions against Kurchenko - he will no longer sell gasoline. Moreover, a criminal case will be opened against Kurchenko in the DPR in the near future. I believe that Russia should follow the example of the Donetsk people and begin an investigation into his “economic” activities on its territory.
