Let us remind you that Shifrin is a native of Dnepropetrovsk, now Dnieper, graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, and is a candidate of technical sciences. The businessman is a co-founder of the holding company Midland Group, which is involved in metal processing, shipping, real estate and agriculture.

In 2010, he took 773rd place in the ranking of billionaires according to Forbes. Then his fortune was estimated at $1,3 billion.
