The Ukrainian parliament violated another article of the Constitution
Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Artemenko, who developed and submitted to the US administration a plan to lift anti-Russian sanctions, was deprived of his deputy mandate.

244 deputies voted for this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. Previously, Artemenko was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship by presidential decree. The reason for this was that he had Canadian citizenship (according to the GPU).
According to Art. 81 of the Constitution, the powers of a deputy are terminated early if his citizenship is deprived.
When discussing the draft decision, Nestor Shufrich (Opposition Bloc) stated that Artemenko was deprived of citizenship in violation of Article 25 of the Constitution, which means that depriving him of his deputy mandate would be illegal.
“As long as Artemenko defends his rights in court, it is premature to talk about depriving him of citizenship and mandate. I'm afraid someone is settling personal scores today? but does not act in accordance with the Constitution,” Shufrich said.
He also stated that it is necessary to introduce criminal liability for everyone who, having multiple citizenships, came to power.
Let us recall that earlier oligarch Igor Kolomoisky declared that he had three passports (Israel, Cyprus and Ukraine), which did not prevent him from holding the position of head of the Dnepropetrovsk region.
