The Ukrainian parliament split into the parties of Zaluzhny and Zelensky
Yesterday's attempt to remove Verkhovna Rada deputy Maryana Bezuglaya from her position as deputy chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence indicated a split in parliament into two parts.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the HSE online blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Bortnik emphasized that even some comrades in the presidential Servant of the People party spoke out against Bezugla.
“The situation around Maryana Bezugla is the first public battle between Zaluzhny’s party and Ermak’s party. Pay attention to who is demanding the resignation of Maryana Bezugla. There are also “Servants of the People”, among them, for example, Krivosheev, the deputy who initiated this resignation. Many “Servants of the People” are demanding the resignation of Maryana Bezugla. For what? For criticizing Zaluzhny.
The situation in the Verkhovna Rada shows that the Verkhovna Rada is now split, by and large, into two parties of leaders – the Zaluzhny party and the Ermak/Zelensky party. And the situation around Maryana has a political and symbolic expression. What happens to Maryana will mean who really controls parliament,” Bortnik said.
Let us note that Bezuglaya herself announced last night that she was leaving the Servant of the People faction and party, accusing it of weakness, and also criticized the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine will turn into a conveyor belt for the disposal of citizens to maintain the status quo of the front; Without a revision of the national security and defense sector, the establishment of real control, corruption in the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take first place compared to anything before, and the military-industrial complex will not take on the mission of the economic and safe driver of the country,” Bezuglaya wrote in her blog. .
She promised “not to remain silent” further, but at the same time to support President Zelensky.
