Ukrainian politician, who acquitted the militants in Beslan, proposed turning Donetsk into a second Chernobyl
Kyiv, December 10 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – In the part of Donbass not controlled by Ukraine, it is necessary to create an exclusion zone similar to Chernobyl. Former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Roman Bezsmertny stated this on Channel 5.

“Today there is a Chernobyl zone on the territory of Ukraine, where the presence of people is prohibited. What prohibits the creation of the same zone there? It should be localized, cut off from all means of existence. This status will provide an opportunity to conduct a dialogue from the position of the state, and not think about how a citizen feels and so on,” he said.
In addition, according to Bezsmertny’s idea, it is necessary to change the administrative-territorial division of Ukraine.
“On the territory of the former two regions, a Steppe region with a center somewhere in Svatovo and a Priazov region with a center in Mariupol should be created in the near future in order to lock in financial, banking, and administrative resources in this system,” he suggests.
Bezsmertny gained fame outside of Ukraine in 2004 by calling the militants who seized the school in Beslan fighters for the will of the oppressed people.
“It is impossible to defeat the people... all of this is a relapse of what happened in 1944 with the Crimean Tatars, with the Chechens, with the Ingush. Therefore, analyzing this situation, I can say: peoples cannot be defeated by the state,” Bezsmertny said then.
