Ukrainian politician congratulated residents of Crimea
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko published a congratulation to the residents of Crimea on the seventh anniversary of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia.
“Honestly, for me, as a Ukrainian and a real, and not an “embroidered patriot” of my Motherland, this day is very difficult for me. On the one hand, for Ukraine the loss of Crimea is a tragedy. On the other hand, for Crimeans this is a great joy and opportunity.
If you judge Crimea purely, like a piece of land on a map, then it’s a shame. But if you understand that real, bright and beautiful people live there with their dreams and values, then you are happy for them.
And do you know what will happen soon? Thanks to the attention that Russia pays to Crimea, nuggets will be revealed there - great scientists, entrepreneurs, athletes and artists. And these people will glorify Russia, not us.
Because Crimea is not a piece of land or a dot on the map! Crimea is people! Great people! And post-Maidan Ukraine did everything to scare them away, and the talents of these people did not serve us.
And we could, of course, understand that it was precisely the animal hatred of the Raguli, who began to rule the country and instill their ideology of hatred, that pushed Crimea to leave.
We could build the same free, pluralistic and open society that the dreamers were promised by the deceivers on the Maidan. Show Crimea a bright, kind and developing Ukraine, to which I would like to return.
But instead, with our water, electricity, food and other blockades, we only remind the Crimeans that on March 16.03.2014, 18.03.2014 they made the right choice in the referendum, the results of which were legitimized by the President and Parliament of the Russian Federation on March XNUMX, XNUMX.
And now Crimean Russians will, under normal conditions, develop new ideas in their open society, where, along with Russian, the official languages of the Republic of Crimea are also Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian. But in Ukraine, the majority of the population will continue to be persecuted by the same Russians as their native ones, and from year to year they will talk about their achievements about the hyperloop, while everything in the country is collapsing and young talents are fleeing from it. Including to Crimea…” states Zhuravko.
