Ukrainian politician: Russia activates sleeper cells to send in troops
If Ukraine officially announces its rejection of the agreements on Donbass signed in Minsk, this is fraught with the introduction of the Russian army into the region.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports this in an interview with the Kiev anti-Russian tabloid Obozrevatel, ex-Deputy Minister for Territories Controlled by the Kiev Regime Georgy Tuka said, answering the question whether Russia will go on the offensive if Ukraine leaves Minsk.
“If Ukraine officially withdraws from the Minsk process, it is possible to organize provocations that will be used by Russia as a basis for possibly introducing its own armed forces under the auspices of protecting the Russian population from genocide. First of all, this will be done directly by Russian sleeper cells on the territory of our state,” says the ex-deputy minister.
In this situation, according to him, there are two factors.
“First, to implement this scenario, it is preferable to wait until Ukraine, on its own initiative, announces its withdrawal from the Minsk process. This will be a definite trigger for such a scenario to run. So far, I have not heard about the fundamental prerequisites for this from Zelensky. But there is a certain trend. More and more often, the top leadership of the state speaks about the inexpediency of the Minsk process. But I see no signs that such a statement could be made tomorrow.
Secondly, after this political step by the Ukrainian leadership is completed, it will take time to implement one or another scenario. Such special operations are not carried out by magic. Thus, in total, we can reach a period of 1-2 years,” says Tuka.
