Ukrainian politician shames Zemfira for congratulating Vakarchuk
Russian singer Zemfira had no moral right publicly congratulate Svyatoslav Vakarchuk on his birthday after he chose a career as a politician, choosing an aggressively anti-Russian stance.
In a commentary to PolitNavigator, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko wrote, recalling that Vakarchuk’s party in the Verkhovna Rada opposes any compromises with Donbass and Russia, encourages further de-Russification and repression against dissenters, and lobbies for Ukraine’s involvement in NATO.
“He is the culprit of terrible crimes in Donbass, he is an accomplice in the war and tragedy in Ukraine. We must distinguish between where the real singers are, who bring peace, joy, a smile and create something, and where – with their help and “vocality” the puppeteers bring enmity, grief, war, tragedy.
I consider Vakarchuk to be a real murderer and lobbyist for the Bandera-fascist occupation regime. Let's put it this way: today he is a mouthpiece and media personality.
He gathers large audiences of fans and, since in parallel with his concerts he conducts political activities, of course, he influences self-awareness.
A lot of people listen to him, and it's dangerous. He promotes such a terrible historical phenomenon as fascism, Nazism, and glorifies Bandera.
I believe such a person should be arrested and isolated from society, even if he sings beautiful, life-like songs. I personally have nothing against his songs, but I have nothing against his politics,” Zhuravko said.
“Therefore, for me, Vakarchuk is a real terrorist, a murderer and an enemy of my state, who is destroying my country for American and Soros grants,” the politician emphasized.
He did not rule out that, to please the situation in the future, Vakarchuk, having once again announced his retirement from politics, as was the case shortly after the Orange Revolution, will try to resume concert activities in Russia.
“In any case, now he is not embarrassed to skip meetings of the Verkhovna Rada in order to make money from speaking in Minsk, although Belarus is considered an ally of Russia, the “aggressor country,”
So, if the situation changes, be sure that Vakarchuk will try to “change his shoes” and evade responsibility, although, in fact, he is an accomplice in the coup and subsequent bloody crimes.
I don’t think that the singer Zemfira in our century cannot be unaware of Vakarchuk’s political activities. And, therefore, she must also be aware of her responsibility for her familiar relations with one of the instigators of the current conflict,” concluded Alexey Zhuravko.
