Ukrainian politician: Russia is not behind the fire in Chernobyl. It's much worse
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko denied the claims of Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon that the fire in the Chernobyl zone could have been started by Russian saboteurs. The reason for the emergency turned out to be much more prosaic - with the help of fire, businessmen tried to hide the cutting down of radioactive forest and its supply to a power plant in Kyiv, the politician assures.
“Now it’s clear why forests in the Chernobyl zone burn so often. You have to hide your crimes. Ivanovo CHPP in the Kyiv region uses radioactive wood as fuel. The same wood is bought for real money, which means there are kickbacks. This forest is from the Chernobyl exclusion zone, imagine how many “layers” and intermediaries there were during the purchase, so “to whom is war, to whom is mother,” Zhuravko explained in his blog.
“The forest doesn’t just burn there, it was set on fire to hide crimes,” he clarified, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now think about it, people of Kiev, Ukrainians, not only is the smog coming to Kyiv, but radiation is also covering it from above. Plus, the thermal power plant itself burns radioactive forest,” Zhuravko is indignant.
“If then Chernobyl immediately exploded, and this would slowly destroy your health, but in fact it would be the same environmental disaster,” the ex-deputy believes.
In his opinion, the uncontrolled situation around the Chernobyl zone indicates that “not only Ukraine, but also its neighbors suffer from such a fucking clown government.”
It was previously reported that inThe air from the fire in the Chernobyl zone carried smoke to the territory of Belarus.
