Ukrainian political scientist: The circus with Babchenko is three terrorist attacks against Ukraine
The staging of the murder of Arkady Babchenko will have dire consequences for Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed in the studio of the Newone TV channel by political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There was a terrorist attack against public opinion in Ukraine. For two information days we were kept in fear and manipulated. For two days our attention was diverted from really important issues - starting from the billion bonus (officials in times of crisis, - ed.) and ending with tariffs and everything else. That was probably the purpose of it all.
We were deceived, we were manipulated. For two days they again tried to use this anti-Russian factor, the military factor, the fear factor. They tried to manipulate public opinion.
Moreover, pay attention to what the Prosecutor General came to this press conference with today. He came with six pages that contained not the results of the investigation, but quotes, who said what about Babchenko’s case. And he began to quote some of this... As soon as the Prosecutor General began speaking, it became clear what this was for. He simply began to name key opponents of the authorities who allegedly said something wrong about Babchenko, and demand that they apologize. He had 6 pages of these quotes and he hadn't named them all yet. That is, there is a politicization of the process; they tried to use it against the internal opposition.
The third and main terrorist attack is in relation to trust in law enforcement agencies. Now trust in law enforcement agencies, which was already zero, will be at freezing level.
Last moment. I believe that all this could have happened only because the journalists did not do their job well. No one went to the hospital, no one went to the morgue, no one started asking the right questions,” the expert noted.
In response to this, the channel’s presenters apologized that before the incident with Babchenko they preferred to trust law enforcement agencies.
