Ukrainian political scientist Karasyov: I go to Russian TV for extreme sports, not for money

According to Karasev, in turn, it is impossible to see guests from Russia on Ukrainian talk shows because “they are not interesting,” and “Ukraine is going to Europe.”

“You have to go where you can convey your point of view. Russians often say: “Why don’t you invite us?” I say: “Because we are not interested in you. If you are interested in us, you invite us, and we live our lives, we move forward, we go not to Russia, but to Europe. Therefore, we are interested in this, our life, the internal political life that is seething,” Karasev said.

He himself travels to Russia, realizing that this is “extreme work.”

“This is extreme work, this is also the work of a political scientist, it is not only about broadcasting in a comfortable environment. I go there for patriotism, and for adrenaline, and in order to convey a point of view, and in order to show that not everything in Ukraine is as they show,” Karasev listed.

He also assured the presenter that he does not receive fees from TV channels for his frequent visits to Moscow: “These are all invitations. The inviting party pays for the travel, that’s all. Maybe someone is offered a fee, but I don’t know.”
