Ukrainian “political scientist” Kovtun: Next time they’ll stab me with a knife
Self-described “political scientist” Vyacheslav Kovtun, who participates in Russian talk shows as a representative of Ukraine, complained about the slow investigation of the incident during the recording of one of the programs, when at the beginning of the summer Kovtun was hit in the face by the former host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan Yuri Kot.

“I have a document - on June 5, a criminal case was opened regarding my beating. Four months have passed and nothing. The investigator, Mrs. Poletaeva Oksana Aleksandrovna, feeds me all sorts of fairy tales - and nothing happens! Before that, they threw a cake at me - and nothing happens either! This is an imitation! Next time they stab me with a knife, you will also stand here and smile,” Kovtun complained on the air of the “Sunday Evening” program.
Kovtun voiced his complaint, citing as an example the infringement of Ukrainian patriots in Russia, when in the studio they talked about repressions against dissenters in Ukraine.
“What happened to Elderberry?” – Denis Pushilin, Speaker of the DPR Parliament, asked Kovtun.
“Do you want me not to exist, like Elderberry? So let’s talk to the living while I’m alive!” – Kovtun protested.
