Director of the Center for Political Marketing Vasily Stoyakin stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“I don’t understand why Zaverukha is being judged. She was involved in robberies, murders and God knows what in the Lugansk region, she reported and for this she was considered a heroine. When she returned to the Kyiv region and started doing this here, it turned out that this was a criminal act. But Nadezhda Savchenko, according to one version, was captured during the robbery of a golf club. In fact, they grabbed her because it was inconvenient to hold an armful of clubs in her hands and shoot from a machine gun. She continues to be a heroine, we pulled her out of a Russian prison, defended her, told her what a wonderful person she is. Somehow it doesn't add up. Why is Nadezhda a hero, but Zaverukha not a hero?” he said.
