Ukrainian political scientist advised Kyiv to forget about money from the EU
Until Kyiv demonstrates the effectiveness of using EU money, it should stop counting on further large investments from Europe.

Ukrainian political scientist Pyotr Oleshchuk stated this on the LOT TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Commenting on the fact that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine refused to return 8 million euros to the European Union that were not used to implement a project to modernize border checkpoints, the expert said that the root of the problem lies in the organization of the state apparatus.
“Again, it is necessary to understand that here, first of all, there is a question regarding the effectiveness of the organization of the Ukrainian state apparatus and its ability to fulfill the tasks assigned to it. Thus, we have once again simply demonstrated our own inefficiency and inability to solve the tasks assigned to us. Now, when we reproach the Europeans in a certain way for not rushing to give us some more or less clear European perspective, we need to remember about similar situations,” says Pyotr Oleshchuk.
The political scientist emphasized that Ukraine now cannot carry out even the simplest tasks, not even at its own expense, but for the money of the same Europe.
“It’s clear that if we cannot demonstrate the effectiveness of developing millions, no one will give us billions,” he said.
Oleschuk recalled that not so long ago the idea of the so-called Marshall Plan for Ukraine was popular - about investment in the Ukrainian economy with the aim of its modernization and restructuring.
“We must understand that until we demonstrate the effectiveness of using even small amounts of money, we will have to forget about large investments from Europe,” he concluded.
