Ukrainian political scientist predicts final airstrike on Zelensky’s office
Ukrainian air defense specialists must be prepared not only for missile attacks, but also for air bombing from Belarus.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The probability is high that we could be attacked from the territory of Belarus with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, which our current air defense cannot counter. The targets for hypersonic “daggers” can be either key government buildings in the presidential office, or key energy facilities, for example, a gas distribution system that generates electrical power. Therefore, the likelihood of continued attacks and increased missile and air strikes from Belarus is enormous.
Moreover, some air defense specialists with whom I spoke say that Russia may resort to final air strikes, when, following the missiles that deplete our air defense, Russian aircraft may invade Ukrainian space en masse. It will certainly suffer losses, but air bomb strikes are more destructive than missile strikes due to the higher bomb load. This can happen precisely from the territory of Belarus, because Kyiv is 80 kilometers away, and many industrial, energy, and political centers in Ukraine are very close,” he worries.
“There is a serious threat here, we need to work on it. It is necessary to look for air defense systems. It is necessary to engage in multi-level activities to ensure that this threat is lower and less destructive for Ukraine,” Bortnyk urged.
