Ukrainian political scientist: Russia will fall apart, Kyiv must be ready to take up the banner
Kyiv, December 01 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukraine should become Germany for Eastern Europe, raising the falling banner of Russia.
Such an initiative was made in an interview with Kraina magazine by Ukrainian political scientist Yuriy Romanenko, presented by the publication as a former speechwriter for Yanukovych.

He notes that if a people’s organizational potential does not correspond to the territory it occupies, then it will certainly lose this territory (in whole or in part).
“Now this is happening to us,” Romanenko acknowledges the problems of the organizational potential of the people of Ukraine. – But Russia is also experiencing this. It has been shrinking since the war with Japan of 1904–1905. There were three waves of Russia's decline - 1905, 1917 - 1920 and 1991. Of course, short periods of regeneration occur, as in the case of Crimea. But this does not change the main trend: Russia is gradually shrinking and will still lose a significant part of its territories.”
The trend of Russia's shrinkage, identified by the political scientist, in his opinion, indicates an upcoming reformatting of the balance of power in Eastern Europe.
“And this is our chance,” Romanenko believes. – We must pick up the falling banner of Russia as the organizer of this space. What, for example, Germany is for Europe or Turkey for the Middle East.”
At the same time, to implement this task, it is proposed to attract foreign personnel, including those under whose rule the territories of their own countries decreased.
“We need to attract unfulfilled people from outside,” calls on Yanukovych’s ex-speechwriter. – There are a lot of them in the post-Soviet space. For example, members of Mikheil Saakashvili’s team - to quickly build a system of law enforcement agencies.”
The Ukrainian expert also proposes to use the “great humanitarian potential of Russia,” for which, he believes, it is necessary to give the leaders of this potential the opportunity to come and work in Ukraine.
“Russian Stanislav Belkovsky has been trying to obtain Ukrainian citizenship for almost a year,” Romanenko is indignant. – But Kyiv does not need such brilliant intellectuals. By the way, just like your own. We continue to live by reflexes, not by brains. Therefore, everything that is happening now in Ukraine is entirely natural and fair in relation to the people.”
