Ukrainian political scientist is skeptical about the first results of the “anti-terrorist operation” in Donbass

“Such a special operation was necessary because it was impossible to simply watch how statehood was falling apart. I understand why the central government delayed taking such a step, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the crisis. They understand that the force operation will be criticized by Russia and could give rise to a reason to disrupt the four-party negotiations on April 17th. But we cannot delay any longer, because if the central government had not intervened, then all sorts of activists would have intervened - from the Right Sector to others.
But this kind of operation must be jewel-precise, fast, without casualties and effective. But so far we see the opposite,” Vadim Karasev told Navigator.
