A new round of poverty is beginning in Ukraine. Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air at UkrLife, commenting on the consequences of the blockade of Donbass.

“I looked at the statistics for February - a drop in coal production of 27%. The decline in metallurgy and chemistry is on average 4,7%. This is not just a fall - this is minus taxes, minus jobs - this is a new round of poverty. This is only for February, we’ll see what the March data will be,” Bortnik said.
