Ukrainian political scientist: The law “on the reintegration of Donbass” is a gross violation of the Minsk agreements
The law “on the reintegration of Donbass” announced by the administration of Petro Poroshenko, which is planned to be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, will not bring the real return of Donetsk and Lugansk under the control of Kyiv one step closer. Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the new law runs counter to the Minsk agreements and is needed only to strengthen Poroshenko’s position within Ukraine.
“If we have not withdrawn from the Minsk process, if we still say that we intend to implement the Minsk agreements, then what about agreements where Russia is the guarantor country of the Minsk agreements, and now the guarantor country is declared an “aggressor” "? But it is announced so carefully so as not to declare war. First of all, it is clear that in the event of aggression, diplomatic relations are severed and a state of war is declared, but here everything is hybrid.
What the law will do for the integration of Donbass – I am very skeptical about this document. It is primarily focused on Ukrainian internal political discourse.
It is clear that the president will play the card of a mega-patriot who is ready to go to the end on such fundamental issues, but this will not bring Donbass one iota closer to Ukraine,” Zolotarev said.
