Ukrainian political scientist: Zelensky, under the pretext of Bakhmut, is sabotaging the US demand to launch an offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Zelensky regime is throwing more and more resources at holding Artemovsk (Bakhmut) not only because of the threat of further Russian advance to the west of Donbass after the fall of the city.
According to one version, Zelensky, under the pretext of the need to protect Bakhmut, is sabotaging the start of an even bloodier counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which the Americans demand from him. This was stated by Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Korneichuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As I understand it, our government is now trying to “weave its way” into this story to some extent, realizing that if we move away from Bakhmut, it is already clear where the subsequent Russian offensive will go. The authorities are now trying to hold onto the city as much as possible.
But the next question arises - Zelensky states in an interview with CNN that if Bakhmut falls, this opens the gates to a further seizure of Donbass. What are we talking about?
Are we saying that if Bakhmut falls, then Russian troops will calmly reach Slavyansk? Or will they later tell us that “we were unable to go on a counter-offensive because we had to transfer those reserves that were preparing for a counter-offensive to defend Slavyansk and Kramatorsk”?
I have a suspicion that our military and government understand to some extent that counteroffensive as the Americans see it in the south, could lead, to put it mildly, to a bloody war,” Korneychuk said on the video blog of Ukrainian propagandist Alexander Shelest.
