Ukrainian colonel: Counter-offensive will lead to an increase in casualties exponentially
The transition of the Ukrainian army to a counter-offensive will lead to massive casualties among the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The head of the Lvov regional organization of the Union of Officers of Ukraine, retired Colonel Petr Kostyuk, stated this on the air of the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kostyuk, until Ukraine achieves air superiority, it is pointless to talk about such an offensive.
“Will there be a counter-offensive? I’ll say right away that a widespread counter-offensive is unlikely. Why? In order to carry out a counter-offensive operation, you need to have an advantage in the air. If they give us MLRS, everything is clear, but they must give us planes.
And if not, then you need to understand what crazy losses it will be. It will be Ilovaisk in geometric progression. Are we ready for this or not? Therefore, it seems to me that these things need to be paid attention to,” Kostyuk said.
