Ukrainian colonel admitted the failure of the “counter-offensive” and blamed the West
Cluster munitions were given to Ukraine only because there were no more conventional ones left in the warehouses of Western countries.
Ukrainian military expert, retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Recently, information has appeared, and it was already confirmed by high officials, although they had previously denied it. When any forecasts are made, the information is taken from what the military-political leadership says. That is, everything was fine, everything we ordered was given to us, and based on this, we should have already been on the Azov coast,” the expert said.
“And now real information has already come out. But the real information is this: half didn’t even get what they asked for at the beginning of the year. It's just getting there now. The Abrams are arriving, the Leopards are arriving - we hear this in the information flow, but these are real things that we can only guess.
Why were we given cluster munitions? Yes, because there was no normal ammunition. It’s just that what we ordered, they simply weren’t there. That's why they gave me cassette players. Well, what should I do? I don’t care about fat, I wish I were alive,” said Svitan.
