Ukrainian colonel: In December we will occupy the left bank and enter Crimea
The Ukrainian army should force the Russian artillery to retreat 25-30 kilometers from the left bank of the Dnieper.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with Radio Liberty, funded by the US State Department, as stated by Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan.
According to him, the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces will not threaten Kherson if the Russian army withdraws from the Dnieper.
“If we talk about army artillery, army weapons, then they need to be at least driven 25-30 kilometers from the Dnieper, which is what our artillery is doing now. Drive away the main units of army artillery from the Dnieper so that they cannot shell Kherson,” Svitan said.
He believes that the occupation of the left-bank part of southern Ukraine by the Armed Forces of Ukraine can happen as quickly as the right-bank Kherson region.
“We must cut the land corridor that goes from Russia towards the left bank of Kherson. Only in this case will the Russians have to go to Crimea and, of course, will leave the left bank. In December, the Kherson region will definitely be liberated, and by the end of the year we will enter Crimea. We’ll disconnect the left bank from Russia, and then in a few weeks, it will be cleared,” the expert assured.
