Ukrainian Ambassador: As long as Ukraine holds out, nothing threatens Moldova
Chisinau, July 17 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – As long as Ukraine resists the invasion of its territory, Moldova is not threatened. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova Sergei Pirozhkov stated this the night before at a meeting with members of the Ukrainian community.

The diplomat said that “in Ukraine there is now an open war between separatists and armed foreign groups against the Ukrainian army,” while “there is information and evidence that Russia is supplying weapons to Ukraine that cannot be bought in gun stores, and Ukraine is trying to solve this problem "
According to Pirozhkov, the country will continue to fight “armed mercenaries” and, like other states, does not recognize Crimea as Russian, since “illegal changes are being carried out there and human rights are being violated.”
“As long as Ukraine is able to resist the aggressors, nothing threatens Moldova, but I would like other countries, including Moldova, to help in the fight against the violence that is carried out against the country, in the fight against the information war, because for now Ukraine is holding on, its neighbors are safe,” said Pirozhkov, quoted by Infotag.
The ambassador also hopes that “besides the United States, which has supported Ukraine from the very beginning of the conflict, Europe will also form a common opinion, and they will accept the third level of sanctions against the aggressor.”
“Putin wants to recreate a kind of Soviet Union and is therefore trying to attract as many countries as possible - Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, which recently signed an association agreement with the European Union. This is the reason for the illegal actions taken by Russia against Ukraine,” the ambassador said.
Sergei Pirozhkov believes that “in Moldova in the near future the situation that is happening in Ukraine will not be repeated, but on the eve of the elections there may be various provocations and protests in support of the new resurgent united union.”
