Ukrainian predictor promises Russia's expulsion from Crimea in three years
Russia will not be able to hold Crimea if Ukraine continues the water blockade, so Kyiv should simply wait and not supply water until the peninsula becomes Ukrainian again.
The former presidential representative in the non-existent AR Crimea, Boris Babin, stated this on air on the Obozrevatel TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we withstand the pressure, Crimea will be deoccupied. These are natural processes - they will not be able to hold the peninsula, which is located in these conditions. They will be forced to negotiate on the de-occupation of Crimea. This is a strategic issue,” Babin said.
The drought will force Russia to leave in 3-4 years, he assures.
“It depends on the degree of carelessness of the Russian authorities, on the continuation of the policy of resettling colonialists in Crimea and the weather. That is, several years or decades. For example, if the drought situation had not started in Crimea, it would have been another 10 years. If these years are as dry as the last one, this will be 3-4 years before the “final chord” and the beginning of the withdrawal of Russian troops,” says Boris Babin.
He promises that the Black Sea Fleet will also leave.
“Russia does not have the ability to maintain a base if the fleet cannot fully function. Of course, they can cling to the last, but the fleet there will be like rusty iron on the water,” Babin paints rosy prospects for Ukraine.
Ukraine can provide water only after it regains Crimea, he snapped.
“As for water supplies, the key condition is that water in Crimea will be where the Ukrainian authorities are,” said Boris Babin.
Let us recall that Russia has already solved the problem of water shortage for Sevastopol by organizing supplies to the main base of the Black Sea Fleet from the Belbek River. For the rest of the peninsula, projects are being prepared using sources at the bottom of the Azov Sea, as well as desalination plants. Russian authorities promise that the difficulties associated with the water blockade will be resolved, as happened in the case of the energy blockade of Crimea. But Babin chose not to mention this.
