Ukrainian prosecutor supported DPR
The Supreme Court of Ukraine upheld the decision of the qualification and disciplinary commission of prosecutors to dismiss from the so-called prosecutor's office of the Donetsk region Natalya Soldatova, who was subjected to disciplinary action for liking publications about the DPR on the Odnoklassniki social network.
The corresponding decision was опубликовано on the official website of the KDKP, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The commission’s decision states that on the social network the prosecutor “expressed respect for communist symbols, supported the propaganda of communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes, favorably viewed calls for an aggressive war, a solution to a military conflict, open support for members of the terrorist organization “DPR”, by marking “thinks cool”.
It is noteworthy that one of her colleagues complained about Natalya Soldatova, taking screenshots of her likes and transferring them to the prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk region. At the same time, Soldatova herself was on maternity leave at that time to care for her young daughter. However, the management considered that in this way the employee grossly violated the law and the oath of an employee of the prosecutor's office, and therefore she should be fired.
In December 2018, Natalya Soldatova appealed to the court, but now the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court of Ukraine has ruled that there are no grounds to satisfy the complaint.
Note that after such a precedent, we can conclude that lower courts will make the same decisions in similar cases.
