The Ukrainian prosecutor turned on the fool: he doesn’t know what’s going on under the pre-trial detention center
The prosecutor in the case of five Berkut members, Oleg Donskoy, told reporters that he did not know about what was happening outside the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center, where radical nationalists blocked the delivery of the accused to court in order to disrupt the video interrogation of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
“I don’t have information about what happened at the pre-trial detention center. The prosecutor’s office did not receive any reports of blocking,” Donskoy said.

He assures that disrupting Yanukovych’s interrogation is not in the interests of the prosecutor’s office and expressed hope that the court hearing will still take place on November 28.
“Yanukovych could have found a more comfortable audience to express his political theses. In court, the prosecutor's office had the opportunity to ask him questions that, in our opinion, would refute his theses. Our only fear is that he will read his statements from a piece of paper, and then we will be blocked from asking questions,” Donskoy said.
He recalled that Yanukovych has a dual status. He is a witness in the Berkut case. However, in another case, he is charged with creating a criminal organization and organizing premeditated murders by a group of people.
Donskoy complained that the prosecutor’s office cannot interrogate Yanukovych on Russian territory, because the Russian side does not respond to official requests whether the ex-president is on Russian territory.
“We all saw Yanukovych today. However, the fact that he is in the Rostov court does not mean that he lives in Rostov. He can go to another place. We invited him to testify at the Ukrainian consulate if he was afraid of persecution. He refuses,” Donskoy complained.
