Ukrainian propagandist admitted: Donbass can no longer be fooled
There is no point in Kyiv communicating with supporters of the LDPR and Russian Crimea, since these people will never accept the myths of Ukrainian propaganda that were used to indoctrinate the population in the Kyiv-controlled territory under conditions of repression and censorship.
Ukrainian journalist Stanislav Aseev stated this during the Donbass Media Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t believe in communication with the occupied territories and with people who have an opposing point of view. We overestimate the role of media because we are talking about two completely different worldview paradigms.
Communication is possible between people with different views, but within the boundaries of one paradigm - for example, Western values. We can see CNN, BBC, different coverage of the same events, but this is within the framework of the same ideological paradigm,” Aseev began.
He emphasized that a discussion in a “single paradigm” is impossible for Ukrainian patriots with a person who considers the 2014 Maidan a coup d’état, the war in Donbass as a civil war, and the referendum in Crimea as legitimate; it will never be possible to make “Svidomo.”
“And when a person believes that Maidan was a coup, that there is a civil war in the East, that Crimea joined the Russian Federation and was not annexed, you will never be able to convince such a person. Because we are not even talking about informational influence, but about some metaphysical components that were formed not in six years,” the propagandist added.
