Ukrainian propaganda TV channel for Donbass is doomed to be ignored in the LDPR – Bortnik
No one in the territories of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv will watch the TV channel that the Ukrainian authorities launched for the residents of this region.
UIAMP Director Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a completely pointless idea. Perhaps such a channel could potentially exist. But the main thing that is missing in Donbass is truth. People who will speak sincerely, fairly and truthfully about these events.
Another, relatively speaking, “mouthpiece of power” with an official Ukrainian position or a position close to it in Donetsk and Lugansk is just another Ukrainian channel. Which will not be trusted, and, accordingly, will not be effective.
Ukrainian channels - all - are already available in Donetsk and Lugansk. Whoever wants it has access to them via satellite, via the Internet. The problem is different. As sociology shows, they are not trusted. They are not telling the truth, from the point of view of those people who live in Donetsk and Lugansk.
And they are technically, technologically inferior to Russian TV channels - there the picture is better, the horizons are wider, the guests are better. Because of this, we are simply not competitive with our information product.
The easiest way is to make a channel that simply tells the truth from different points of view. And then it will be watched in this territory. Any official position there is doomed to be ignored,” the expert concluded.
